Rete

What is Rete

Rete is a visual programming framework developed by Vitaliy Stoliarov, which allows other programmers to create their own visual programming editors for specific purposes. This is exactly what we did. We took Retejs framework and exposed our unique 3D algorithms and components through it. We still call our editor Rete, to honor the original framework as we think it is amazing open-source technology that everyone should check out.

Why Rete?

The way Rete allows us to script geometry is familiar to many computational designers accross the world. Very popular tools such as Grasshopper, Dynamo, DesignScript, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Blender, Godot and many others use similar visual programming approach. This is why we decided to use Rete and expose our users to this way of thinking. We believe that this is the future of programming and we want to be a part of it.
